Ph.D student, Rutgers University, NJ

Research Assistant, Professor Blakesley Burkhart, Rutgers University, NJ

Thanks for stopping by! My name is Avi Chen. I just started at Rutgers University as a PhD student working as a research assistant under Professor Blakesley Burkhart. My interests include cosmology, MHD turbulence, and interstellar magnetic fields.

Outside of physics, I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, biking, and scuba diving. Some memorable adventures have been hiking Mount Fuji in sandals, cycling from Shiraz to Tehran and then central Rajasthan while dodging sand dunes and wild buffalos, and scuba diving in the Similan Islands in pitch darkness.
